The competitive world of Overwatch is all set to reach its climax. The table has almost reached its final form, but still, there are plenty of points left to fight for. Since teams are giving their all to concede the best possible finish to the 2020 season. In this article, we will look at some of the matches that we believe will produce high-quality action. We will also work out the winner of the matches by looking at the recent performances and latest statistics. So let’s get started:
Washington Justice vs Dallas Fuel (Saturday, August 8th, 1:00 AM, Best-Of-Five)
Washington Justice is not in the best of form at the moment. Since the team has lost seven of its last eight matches. The side currently sits at the 18th spot with a disappointing 4-16 record. The poor performance of the team is because of their lack of in-game chemistry. Since when we observe their matches, there seems to be no strategy whatsoever. Even on rare occasions, when the team is winning a map, they just find a way to throw away the lead. They will come into this game with low confidence since the side has lost the last two meetings against Dallas.
Dallas Fuel has also found wins hard to come by this season. The team is currently at 14the place with only seven wins in seventeen matches. The team is also on a two-game losing streak. However, we won’t bash them for the defeats since they were against Atlanta Reign and Philadelphia Fusion. They will be happy to face Justice since as we already mentioned, they have beaten them twice this season. Also, Dallas might not be one of the big names, but they do know how to find wins against the struggling team. The last victories of the team were against Houston Outlaws, Boston Uprising, and the mid-table side Toronto Defiant.
Prediction: Dallas Fuel 3-0 Washington Justice
Los Angeles Gladiators vs Toronto Defiant (Saturday, August 8th, 3:00 AM, Best-Of-Five)
Los Angeles Gladiators have had a satisfactory season. The team occupies 13th spot on the table, with only seven wins in sixteen matches. The recent form of the team has been quite poor since the side have only won two of their last five games, and are currently on a 3-game losing streak. They will surely be looking to Toronto, since the last time these two teams met, it was a solid win for the Gladiators.
Toronto Defiant also follows similar steps as the Gladiators. The team is placed at 11th spot on the table, with only eight wins in twenty matches. The only reason they are ahead of the Gladiators is that they have played more games. Even though these teams are quite close, we are confident that the Gladiators edge out as the better team. And this will be a perfect game for them to end their losing run. We believe that Defiant will drop games in the next few weeks, and the first one will be against the Gladiators.
