The Overwatch League is all set to end with a bang. Since the teams are fighting tooth and nail to claim the last remaining points of the regular season. This season, some teams have utterly disappointed while some have proved to be a force to be reckoned with. In this article, we will work out the winners in some of the matches of Week #27.
Vancouver Titans vs Atlanta Reign ( Friday, August 7th, 9:00 PM, Best-Of-Five)
The Vancouver Titans are finding wins hard to come by this season. Since at the time of this writing, the team is sitting at the 18th spot in the table. With just 4 wins from the 16 matches. The poor performance of the team can be attributed to the fact that they have failed to figure out the meta. The team fails to find counter picks that they need to win. No matter which team, or map they play, Vancouver just can’t finish the game on a high note. Coming into this match the side has lost six of its last seven matches. The only win of the team came last week, against the dead-last team, Boston Uprising.
Atlanta Reign has had a roller-coaster season. This statement can be verified by their 8th place on the table. They have won ten of their seventeen matches and are currently on a two-game win streak. They will be coming into this game with confidence since, aside from the back-to-back wins, they demolished Vancouver 3:0 last time. And seeing the recent performances of the two teams, we are confident that Vancouver will take this game as well. Since the team will be reluctant to get the playoff spot come to the end of the season.
Prediction: Atlanta Reign 3-0 Vancouver Titans
Houston Outlaws vs Los Angeles Valiant (Friday, August 7th, 11:00 PM, Best-Of-Five)
Houston Outlaws sit at 17th place, just one spot ahead of Vancouver. Houston has only won six of the last 15 matches. And things are only getting worse for the Outlaws, as they are currently on a five-game losing streak. The last win of the team came back in June when they won against the Los Angeles Gladiators 3:1. It is highly likely that the team won’t be able to find the much-needed win this weekend. Since they are up against Los Angeles Valiant, the team that beat Houston in Week #26.
Los Angeles Valiant is in good form at the moment with two wins in their last three games. Overall, they have had a pretty average season. As they sit at 9th place with ten wins from nineteen matches. Just like Atlanta, their team will be motivated to make a last-minute run for a decent playoff spot. But for that to happen, the team should first beat the Outlaws, as they did last week. It was a close game, as the Valiant just edges the series win a 3:2 win. We are confident that the side has what it takes to grab the win in the upcoming game.
