Minnesota Rokkr vs London Royal Ravens
We said it at the beginning of the tournament, this year it’s going to be completely different for London Royal. And this has gone even better than expected. The London team has closed week 1 with 2 wins and is not top of the league.
But Minnesota too had a great first week. They have beaten Optic Texas 3-2 with an incredible comeback down 2-1. Minnesota has improved this season and it’s become a dangerous team.
Our prediction
London Royal has beaten Florida Mutineers 3-0 and Optic Texas 3-2 proved to be a very good team this season. Minnesota will be an interesting test but we think London Royal will win this one.
Paris Legion vs Optic Texas
Who would have thought that after week 1 Paris Legion and Optic Texas would have the same score? Nobody I believe, especially nobody would expect OpTic to be 0-2. Paris Legion was very close to beat Atlanta FaZe and lost 3-2 in what would have been the biggest upset of week 1.
After that, they lost 3-1 to Florida. Optic Texas instead lost to Minnesota and London. Two very close matches, both defeats came 3-2 and with Optic ahead 2-1. This week they won’t repeat the same mistake again.
Our prediction
Yes, they have the same score but these two teams are not at the same level. Optic Texas should win this match and finally put the first W on the table.
Atlanta FaZe vs Boston Breach
The match between Atlanta FaZe and Boston Breach can be a tricky one. Atlanta is 2-0 but was close to losing against Paris Legion. On Sunday the team played better beating 3-1 LA Thieves, but questions marks are still there. Is the team good enough to compete at the highest level?
On the other hand, Boston Breach has beaten LA Guerrillas 3-2 in what should have been an easier match. Both teams didn’t impress in Week 1 and now they face each other
Our prediction
BetOnline sees Atlanta FaZe as a clear favorite, I don’t agree with this, I think it’s going to be closer than people think. Atlanta FaZe winning 3-1 at +170 looks to me an interesting offer.
LA Thieves vs Florida Mutineers
The last match of Saturday is LA Thieves vs Florida Mutineers. Florida is 1-1 while LA Thieves have lost the only match they played so far. Florida doesn’t look as good as last year. They are 1-1 but lost 3-0 to London Royal and have beaten Paris Legion 3-1, two not very convincing results.
LA Thieves have lost to Atlanta FaZe 3-1. After winning map 1 LA wasn’t able to keep it up. But the team proved to be better than the table says at the moment.
Our prediction
I am not convinced by Florida I think they need to play better to beat LA Thieves so I am going with LA in this match.
