Finally, the Call of Duty Major Tournament II starts. On Wednesday, the teams that finished with the worst placement in Stage 2 took to the field on Thursday the level rises with 4 very interesting matches. It starts with Dallas Empire against New York Subliners and to follow Toronto Ultra faces Optic Chicago. The Los Angeles Thieves after defeating the Paris Legion will face the London Royal Ravens while the Florida Mutineers after destroying the LA Guerrillas will face the Seattle Surge. Two interesting challenges, here are our predictions.
Dallas Empire vs New York Subliners
The Dallas Empire in Stage 1 lost in the final against the Atlanta FaZe, they are on paper one of the strongest teams in the Call of Duty League, they finished Stage 2 in third place despite having taken home the same number of wins as the first two.
On the other hand, New York finished in second place with 4 wins and 1 defeat, the same result as Atlanta FaZe which won Group A. Interesting challenge but who is really the favorite?
Despite losing more games in Stage 2, Dallas Empire is considered the favorite. Dallas also won the Stage 1 head to head versus the New York Subliners. This is why we believe Dallas will win this time too.
Toronto Ultra vs Optic Chicago
The second challenge of the day is that between Toronto Ultra and Optic Chicago. Optic Chicago finished with the same score as the Dallas Empire with 3 wins and 2 losses while Toronto Ultra finished with 2 wins and 3 losses.
Toronto has improved a lot compared to Stage 1 where it closed with only 1 success. In the playoffs Toronto Ultra surprised many teams by coming one step away from the final. So you have to be careful to say Toronto is underdog.
That said, Optic Chicago is a stronger team a team that in Stage 1 has come close to the final and in Stage 2 they want to try again. In Stage 1, Optic Chicago beat Toronto Ultra 3-1, that also needs to be considered.
Los Angeles Thieves vs London Royal Ravens
After the clear victory against the Paris Legion we must keep an eye on the Los Angeles Thieves. Protagonists in Stage 1 but disastrous in Stage 2 the Thieves seem to be back in shape at the most important moment. Now they face the London Royal who did much better on Stage 2 than on Stage 1.
In the head-to-head match in Stage 2 the London Royals won 3-1 and this will surely be a confidence boost for the European team. In reality this challenge all depends on the Los Angeles Thieves, if they play at their level then they will win, if instead they play as they did in the regular Season of Stage 2 then the success will go to London Royal.
We believe that The Thieves will bring out the best in Mayor and that is why they will go on to win this match.
Florida Mutineers vs Seattle Surge
The Florida Mutineers defeated the hosts of the Los Angeles Guerrillas with a clear 3-0, a result that confirms the progress of the team. Now they face the Seattle Surge who closed Stage 2 with the same score.
Florida is perhaps the team that has made the most progress since Stage 1 and now has a great chance to move forward. Seattle is definitely a team within reach of Florida. Which is favored by many bookmakers. Will he be able to confirm himself?
